What is the difference between forward GST and reverse GST?

Forward GST calculates the tax on top of the base cost of a product or service. Reverse GST (or backward GST) calculates the tax component already included in the final price to find the original pre-tax value.

How do you calculate CGST, SGST, and IGST?

For intra-state sales, GST is split equally into CGST (Central GST) and SGST (State GST). For inter-state sales, the entire GST rate is applied as IGST (Integrated GST).
